Import keywords and site information
Import target keywords, current rankings, URLs, and business priorities into GoSEO as the foundation for content planning and rank monitoring.
Feature Analysis
Importing keywords is the foundation of content planning and rank monitoring. GoSEO will organize topic clusters based on keywords, target URLs, search intent, and business priority to help you decide which keywords to write first and which existing pages need updating.
Detailed Steps
Clean your keyword list before importing to ensure each keyword has a clear target page or business priority. After importing, check the grouping results to avoid mixing brand keywords, competitor keywords, and informational/content keywords.

- 1Prepare a CSV containing at least the keyword and target_url columns.
- 2Go to the import section in Keywords or an SEO project.
- 3Upload the CSV, or select actual queries from Google Search Console.
- 4Map fields: keyword, target_url, volume, difficulty, and priority.
- 5Review the topic cluster groupings and separate brand keywords, competitor keywords, and informational keywords.
- 6After saving, use these keywords in an SEO project or in Rank Monitoring.
Supported import methods
You can manually paste keywords, upload a CSV, or connect Google Search Console and select from real query data. For sites that already have SEO data, prefer using GSC.
CSV Field Recommendations
CSV must contain at least keyword and target_url. If you have search volume, difficulty, business value, or current ranking, you can import those as well.

After the import is complete, GoSEO will assign keywords into topic clusters. Please check whether synonyms have been incorrectly split, whether brand keywords have been grouped separately, and whether each keyword has the correct target URL.
